BRAD WILSON
LIVE

I have been following
this man for over two decades. I first heard him play in a metal band in the
eighties with the Big Hair as made his guitar screaming with heavy riffs and
screaming solos. I was floored by his performance. But, I was not the only one
that was floored. Gene Simmons tried his best to give them a rip off deal. You
can not fool good talent. It did not stop there. Epic took their CD as well.
It is in their vault till this day, never got released. Why? Who knows may
another shitty offer maybe. Brad moved on to work on other projects. He got
involved with a band called Mystery City that had evolved a female singer that
Brad called her a Janis Joplin of the 90’s. Brad had moved on wanting to do
some blues he met up with to other musicians and formed a band called STONE.
Holy shit I saw another side of Brad that I did not except. He made that guitar
cry more than Mary! What extreme of the best blues solos coming out of him. No
man can touch him. Oh yes there is some bad ass blues players out there, but he
can clone them and still put more zip to their style. His own style is very
extremely intense.
Brad's Music has been
featured in John Carpenter's last two films and soundtracks, Vampires and Ghosts
of Mars. The Vampires soundtrack won a Saturn Award from the Academy of Science
Fiction, Fantasy and Horror Films for best music. Also Brad has done The NBC TV
show, Passions, has chosen many of Brad's songs for episodes throughout the last
five years.
Brad has toured across the United States many
times, opening for .38 Special, Derek Trucks Band, Cheap Trick, Paula Cole and
many festivals in front of thousands of people.
The last show I saw Brad, once again he
through me for a loop on his playing. It was another side I had not heard from
him. It was a mellow form of a mix of jazz and blues. Brad has no limits on
his playing. I do not think he will ever never quit surprising me with what he
can do with his music.
Brad Wilson will be in history with
his fine writing in music.
